Channel 726, Panorama Television is a closed circuit Panorama broad-casting station located here at Panorama. The station is operated by Panorama volunteers from our community. It brings knowledge, reports, education and entertainment to all our viewers.
During the fall season of 2008 the station has gone through a complete modernization to bring sophisticated programming to the campus. A new studio, digital equipment and cameras round out improvements.
Beginning in 2009 the station broadcasts regularly on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday [except on holidays] at 3 P.M. each day. On Tuesday and Thursday [except on holidays] broadcasts of exercise, book reviews, etc. will air. New features include campus updates, events and activities, along with regularly scheduled programs. All the programs are listed in the monthly “Panorama Picks” found in the monthly newsletter. The station is a Resident Council activity.
When PCTV is not broadcasting live programming, the Panorama Reader Board is televised for all residents. Special announcements, information, trips, travel, general information, and Chambers House menus, are but only some of the items found on the reader board.
