What is Panorama? Panorama is the Pacific Northwest's largest "Continuing Care Retirement Community," or CCRC. Panorama is
a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation in the State of Washington that was established over
42 years ago. We offer a wide
range of retirement housing options, recreational facilities and extended care services. Our
140-acre campus features
over 867 different residences with 271-plus floorplan varieties.
Who operates Panorama?
As a non-profit corporation, Panorama is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors and a
staff of over 300. The Board includes local business leaders, professionals and residents who are committed
to maintaining Panorama 's outstanding history of excellence. The Board and staff are dedicated to making
quality of life at Panorama the best there is to offer.
What are the entrance requirements?
Prospective residents must be 62 years or older; (if a couple, one must be
62 at time of residency) enjoy good health; be able to live independently in selected homes and appreciate
the benefits and services of lifestyle. Financially, residents need to be able to support themselves for the
foreseeable future.
What are the financial obligations at Panorama?
Panorama requires a Entrance Fee for the lifetime lease of your home and a
Monthly Services Fee for maintenance, services and amenities.
What is the Entrance Fee and how does it work?
The Entrance Fee is a one-time lump sum payment made when you take occupancy of
your home at Panorama. See Costs.
Is any portion of the Entrance Fee refundable?

What do I receive for the monthly service fee?
The Monthly Service Fee provides you with full maintenance of your home at Panorama, plus much, much more. For more detailed information, see Costs.
How big are the residences?
Panorama offers everything from studio apartments to large lake-front homes.
Square footage will vary from home to home (350-1800 square ft). Your Retirement Counselor can
provide you with floorplans and details.
What happens if health care assistance is needed?
At Panorama, you will have a full continuum of care right on campus. These
services include Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. Additionally, home
care services may be obtained through an agency locally. Our nursing facility is Medicare and Medicaid certified.
There is also a full-service physician office, dental office and physical therapist right on campus.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, with permission from management. Dogs and cats are allowed in ground-level
homes and cats in some apartments.
Are overnight visitors allowed?
Yes. Your Panorama home is your home and visitors are welcome.
May we plant flowers of our own?
Yes, you are encouraged to do so. 'Pea-patch' garden plots are also available for those who want them.
What about your dining facilities?
Our full-service restaurant is for the use and enjoyment of our residents and the public,
although all Panorama residences do have complete kitchens. The
Chambers House Restaurant is open seven days a week and banquet
and private dining facilities are available.
What about taxes?
There is neither an income nor an inheritance tax in Washington State. Sales tax is not
charged on food or prescription medicine. Real estate taxes are included in monthly fees
(residents do not pay).
What about waiting lists? Do you have one?
Yes and no! Many of the popular single family homes and larger duplexes have a waiting
list. We have found that most people seeking a home here can find the type they really want
within 4-10 months.
Do I rent or buy in?
Homes at Panorama are available through a "life lease." This unique
financial arrangement allows for maximum long term financial security and minimum monthly
