“Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) allow seniors to “age in place,” with flexible accommodations that are designed to meet their health and housing needs as these needs change over time. Residents entering Continuing Care Retirement Communities sign a long-term contract that provides for housing, services and nursing care, usually all in one location, enabling seniors to remain in a familiar setting as they grow older. Continuing Care Retirement Communities offer service and housing packages that allow access to independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities. Those who are independent may live in a single-family home or apartment within the Continuing Care retirement complex. If they begin to need help with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, dressing, eating, etc.), they may be transferred to an assisted living or skilled nursing facility on the same site or receive services in their homes.”
Panorama, one of the West's finest CCRCs located in Washington State, is defined by a spectrum of services available to the 1250+ residents. The majority of residents live independently in a variety of settings such as single-family homes, duplexes, or apartment buildings. They take care of their own meals, housekeeping, transportation, and personal care. As they age and their needs change they are able to conveniently access this spectrum of support services.
Panorama’s unique financing structure was developed to make living at Panorama more affordable. The residents pay only for those services they use. The entrance fee and monthly fee pay for the home and related maintenance, activities, utilities and some transportation. Additional health care support services are conveniently available on campus but are paid for separately by those residents who need them. This arrangement allows Panorama to remain one of the most affordable CCRCs in the nation.
Panorama’s spectrum of services includes those provided by our Independent Living Services department, the Assisted Living program and top-flight Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center. The Independent Living Services Department includes Urgent Response Aides, Transportation Services, Resident Housekeeping/Chore Services, Resident Assistance Coordinator, Campus Social Services and Home Health services.
