Dear Mr. Burton,

I am embarking on a new phase in my life and purchased a camper van towards that end. I am stocking it with all the things one needs for a run to the rainforests, including several copies of Ruth Kirk's Olympic Rainforest book. I have sent that gorgeous book all over the world to people I've met. I read it every year as a bedtime story on the banks of The Queets River.

Imagine my delight finding your story about how she is so close by Seattle.

I would like to find a way to send Ms. Kirk a paper thank you. Is there a general Post Office there at Panorama City? I don't wish to disrupt her privacy.

Thank you for a great story,
Alisa Cox
